2026 SUG, Faculty & Departmental Elections

Your trusted path to a fair student election

Your registration number, then a 6-digit code sent to the email on the university register.

How it works

Four steps. About two minutes.

1

Sign in with your registration number

No password. Enter your reg. number and we email a one-time code to the address your department put on the register.

2

Confirm it's really you

We email you a 6-digit code. It works once, expires in 5 minutes, and three wrong tries lock the account for 15 minutes.

3

Choose, one position at a time

SUG, your faculty and your department — only the races you're eligible for. Read manifestos, pick, or abstain. Review before you submit.

4

Keep your receipt

You get a receipt code that proves your ballot was counted — without revealing your choices. You're signed out automatically.

Security isn't a feature we added — it's how the system is built. Here's exactly what protects your ballot.

A ballot being dropped into a box

Your identity and your ballot never meet.

The register records that you voted. Votes are stored in a separate collection with random IDs and no timestamps — so even with full database access, no one can link a registration number to a choice.

Two-factor, every time

  • Random 6-digit code, never predictable
  • Valid 5 minutes · single use
  • Resend after 60s, max 3 times
  • 3 wrong codes → 15-minute lock

Encrypted and sealed

Each vote is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and sealed with an HMAC. Any edit breaks the seal, and the tally reports it.

One student, one ballot

Enforced by the database itself inside a single transaction — a second attempt fails, even if two arrive at the same instant.

Every action audited

Sign-ins, codes sent, ballots cast and every admin change go to an append-only audit log. Votes can never be edited or deleted.

Closes on time, every time

Voting shuts at the scheduled second by server clock. Suspicious activity automatically freezes the election for review.
